The SSI Enriched Air Nitrox Diver course is our most popular specialty scuba diving course, and it’s easy to see why. Scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives you more no decompression dive time. This means more time underwater, especially on repetitive scuba dives.

Nitrox is the key. Due to the reduced fraction of nitrogen in your breathing gas, your body will have less work and the desaturation times will be reduced.

In our SSI ENRICHED AIR NITROX program, you will learn all the necessary rules for planning dives with Nitrox and using Nitrox in a safe way. An important key point in the entire program is analyzing your own tank prior to any Nitrox dive.

ENRICHED AIR NITROX contains optional dives and therefore it is a perfect “Vacation Specialty”. This will allow you to go diving immediately and enjoy the advantages of diving with Nitrox.

The Scuba Gear You Use
You use all the basic scuba gear. Your dive regulator must be enriched air compatible (most are already okay for enriched air).

The primary goal of any SSI Specialty course is to teach you important skills in a fun environment. All courses are taught using home study, short academic sessions, and in-water training.

Combine other specialties while taking the ENRICHED AIR NITROX course! WRECK DIVING or DEEP DIVING are great add ons. The possibilities are limitless!
